Lenka Fialková, Secretary and vicechair
Lenka has a degree from the Charles’ University, Faculty of Art, branch Librarianship and scientific information.
From 1987 to 1995 she worked at the Ministry of finance, from that three years in the International tax department and 1.5 year in the direct tax department, where she gained knowledge in negotiation of double tax treaties and preparation of tax legislation aiming at harmonizing Czech law with EC law. She took several courses in international taxation organized by OECD, IBFD and IMF. She represented the Ministry of Finance at the OECD Fiscal committee, working parties meetings and prepared the Czech party for accession to the OECD in 1994.
From 1997 she has been operating alternatively as an examiner or assessor for ACCA, paper Taxation.
In the years 1999 to 2004 she worked with PriceWaterhouse Coopers as a knowledge consultant and from 2004 she has been working for KPMG where she is responsible for knowledge management. In the years 2008 and 2009 she was a member of the Direct taxation team at the MInsitry of Finance during CR's EU Presidency.
Lenka is an author of articles on international taxation in various tax journals and books.
Lenka is a member of IFA, Czech branch from its beginning and has been many times a national reporter on various congress subjects. She speaks Czech, English and basic German.
